CiA dates for 2017-18

Carol singing for Christian Aid, Friday 15 December 2017, 10-11 am, Farmers' Market, Abingdon Market Place

Everyone welcome to come and join us to sing carols in aid of Christian Aid's Christmas Appeal. Musical accompaniment and carol sheets will be provided.

Christian Aid's New Year's Walk, 1 January 2018, 10 am, St Helen's Church Hall Church

Walkers will follow a figure of 8 route with refreshments, starting and finishing at St Helen's Church Hall. Please ask your Christian Aid church rep for a sponsor form if you will be walking, or sponsor someone from your church. Unsponsored walkers are very welcome too. All proceeds to Christian Aid's Christmas Appeal.

Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, 18-25 January 2018

Events during the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity will include: - the inter-church quiz on Friday 19 January 2018, 7.30 pm, Christ Church Northcourt Road. For more information, contact Derek Walker at del@walkercrew.plus.com.
- A United Service on Sunday 21 January 2018, 3 pm. Further details to follow.
- Midday prayers Monday 22 - Friday 26 January 2018, St Nicolas' Church. Further details to follow.

Women's World Day of Prayer, 2 March 2017, services at 1.30 pm and 7.30 pm at Peachcroft Christian Centre.

This year the service has been prepared by the Christian women of Suriname and the subject is caring for God’s very good creation – an extremely relevant topic now as sea levels are rising and fish are being poisoned either by chemicals in rivers or microbeads and plastic packaging in the sea. The services will last for an hour and will be followed by refreshments.

CiA Lent Lectures, Mondays 19 and 26 Feb, 19 and 26 March 2018 2017, at Abingdon Baptist Church

This year Revd Dr Paul Goodliff will be leading a series of four lectures on spirituality and art entitled 'Let's Wait and See'. Each week there will be a lecture and contemplative prayer. Further details to follows.

Experience Easter 2018, TrinityLearning, Trinity Church, w/c 26 March 2018

In it's ninth year, this will take place in Holy Week, for the first time. It will be open to schools on Monday 26 and Tuesday 27 March 2018. It will also be open by appointment to church groups in the evenings, and to the public on Saturday 24 March 2018.
